You can specify your budget when you post an assignment on CYBERGIG. As a guide, independent specialists can charge between $600 and $3000 per day to help protect your business from Cyber threats. Note, this is still often much less than costly Cyber insurance which would only offer a payment back to the business after the event has already occured. For contract work, per specialist, we charge you (i.e. the Client) a service fee of 20% of the agreed specialist’s daily rate for the duration of the assignment or the fixed price deliverable. If in a particular circumstance where CYBERGIG determines a different service fee to the stated 20% is to be applied, it will be agreed with you before the assignment commences. If you post an assignment, or are otherwise introduced to the freelancing professional through CYBERGIG and decide to engage, the service fee will apply. For permanent roles, we charge you (i.e. the Client) a placement fee of 22% of the annual base salary for salaries up to $150,000 per annum, excluding superannuation and benefits. A placement fee of 20% will be charged where the annual base salary is more than $150,000 per annum, excluding superannuation and benefits.

You will be charged 12% of the freelancing professional’s annual base salary where the salary is up to $110,000 (excluding superannuation and benefits) or 15% of the professional’s salary where the salary is above $110,000 (excluding superannuation and benefits) if you hire them on a permanent basis while they are working on the assignment or following the completion of the assignment. This is known as a placement fee.

Freelancing professionals may have different pricing arrangements depending on the industry and type of service provided. Typical pricing arrangements include:

  • Fixed price – Pay a fixed price for the deliverable.
  • Variable – Pay per hour or per day.
  • Retainer – Pay a fixed fee per month for an agreed number of hours worked.

You can extend your assignment following commencement, should the Client and/or Specialist determine part-way through the engagement that the duration of the original assignment needs to be longer to complete the engagement. However, the assignment has to be the same assignment as originally agreed and contracted for, and not a new assignment of a different nature, objective and/or deliverable.

Please note that an engagement that is regarded as separate to any previous or original assignments will be subject to a new CYBERGIG’s service fee (payable by the Client). If you wish to discuss the extension situation of an assignment, please contact us at info@cybergig.com.au

The freelancing professionals are accountable and responsible for delivering assignments for clients in accordance with agreed scope, terms and deliverables. As per our Terms and Conditions, the freelancing professionals are independent contractors and CYBERGIG is not responsible for the quality and timeliness of the work and deliverables. CYBERGIG is the platform operator and provides value through providing clients direct access to a pool of skilled and experienced freelancing resources and some administration services.

As part of our Terms and Conditions, freelancing professionals agree to not disclose confidential information associated with the Client and the assignment. Clients can also request the freelancing professional sign a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement prior to disclosing information about the assignment.

You can also determine and restrict access to your assignment information depending on the level of confidentiality you require. Firstly, you can create a blind assignment brief where no specific information about the client is described and utilising generic wording in your written brief. Secondly, you have the option of listing the assignment as “private, invite only”. This ensures that only freelancing professionals who are invited to the assignment have access to it.
